UPDATE: A situation that began in Chester Township resulted in a brief car chase, which ended in a single-vehicle crash in the area of Providence and Brookhaven roads in Nether Providence at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Officers from Nether Providence Township Police Department assisted at the scene, which has been cleared.
An investigation by the Chester Township Police Department is ongoing.
