Ref: Social Media Threat

Last night, the Nether Providence Police Department was made aware of a threat that was posted on TikTok. The subject responsible for making that threat has been identified. The subject does not reside in the Township, and the threat and incident are being investigated by another police department.

The threat was dealt with swiftly, and I am confident it no longer exists. To provide both students and their parents with a level of comfort, tomorrow morning there will be a Nether Providence Police Officer posted at each of the schools; Strath Haven Middle School, Strath Haven High School, Wallingford Elementary School, and Nether Providence Elementary School. The officers will be present when the students arrive in the morning and will remain there until the school day is underway.

The police department is committed to ensuring public safety and will remain vigilant for any additional threats, and swiftly address any threats that are detected.
