The annual Garden City Fire Company Holiday float will be this weekend December 11th and 12th. A list of the routes and start times have been attached to this post. Times and locations will be frequently updated during the day on our social media platforms. INSTA @gardencityfire65 Facebook Garden City Fire Company # 1 The lead fire apparatus will be utilizing their sirens to alert everyone that Santa is approaching. Please listen for the sirens.
Here are a few safety tips to help keep Santa, his Elves and your families safe during this fun weekend.
- Unfortunately, due to COVID -19 safety protocols Santa won't be able to have any children on his sleigh this year.
- Watch when approaching the float and accompanying fire apparatus. The float will stop at least at every corner and sometimes mid-block; however, the other apparatus may continue to move forward to clear the area.
- We will try our hardest to accommodate every picture and video you and your family would like to take. Our Elves will also be happy to take a perfect picture of your family for you.
- There is forecasted rain at times on Saturday. Use caution on the wet leaves and dress for the weather.
- Lastly there have been confirmed reports that the GRINCH has returned to the Township. In fact, we have caught him on our security cameras sneaking around Santa's Sleigh. If you see him around, please contact Sergeant Montgomery of the Nether Providence Police.
Oh, and don't forget. Keep making your special signs to get Santa's attention. Santa will be picking his favorite house to receive a special prize from the Fire Department.
