Today, we said our final goodbye to retired officer James White who passed away on September 
17, 2025.  He was 90 years old.  Chief Splain, Sgt. Montgomery, Traffic Safety Officer Smith and Officer Coverdale were honored to attend his services.  

We also saw some familiar faces who were paying their respects.  We were glad to see retired Sergeant David Bennett, Officer Doug Soule, Officer Brian Bonnes and Officer James Eckenrode.  Our thoughts are with Officer White’s family today as he made his final journey home. 

Officer White’s legacy of service continues to be remembered and appreciated by the Nether Providence Police Department and the community he faithfully protected.  Rest in peace sir, and thank you for your service.
