Nether Providence Township Police enjoyed Family Fun Day on Saturday.
Chief David Splain, Sgt. Matt Liss, Traffic Safety Officer Kevin Smith, Detective James Irey, Officers Michael Dolan and Taryn Kelly, and Sgt. Michael Worrell, who made a cameo appearance, engaged with visitors of all ages at the upper parking lot of Strath Haven Middle School. It was transformed into a carnival like atmosphere filled with food, music, games, pony rides, face painting, vendors, and various other attractions.
The officers shared a tent provided by the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 27 and were busy distributing candy and other treats. This year’s batch of giveaways included cardstock police hats, bubble wands, temporary tattoos, NPPD bracelets, and mini rubber "police" ducks, as well as pretzels and donuts, generously donated by Wawa. Marked NPPD cruisers and a couple of unique off-road vehicles were also on display, capturing the curiosity of attendees.
We had a great time seeing you all!
