UPDATE: As police continue to investigate a series of vehicle-related incidents in the township, anyone who believes they have been a victim and has not reported it is asked to call the station at 610-892-2875 or 911.
Meanwhile, Police Chief David Splain, on Wednesday, reminded residents to remain vigilant by removing keys from vehicles and locking car doors.
As of mid-morning on Tuesday, there were a total of 11 ongoing investigations, which included five stolen vehicles, one stolen license plate, three incidents of vehicles being entered, one incident of attempted entry, and a report of three suspicious males trying car doors.
These incidents occurred between 3 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the areas of Somerset Place; Liberty, Woodridge, and Green Valley roads; Ridge and Medbury lanes; and Governors Drive.
Of the five stolen vehicles, two were recovered in Camden, New Jersey, and one in the Woodlyn section of Ridley Township.
The five stolen vehicles were described as a 2024 and a 2015 Nissan Rogue, a 2020 Toyota Highlander, a 2016 Honda CRV, and a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. The 2024 Nissan Rogue and the 2020 Toyota Highlander were recovered in New Jersey, while the 2012 Hyundai Sonata was recovered in the Woodlyn section of Ridley Township.
There are currently no suspects.
