Update to recent arrest in the 600 Block of Vernon Street Today:

A narcotics search warrant was applied for and granted during the course of an ongoing investigation/arrest warrant execution in the 600blk of Vernon St. Detectives located a large amount of marijuana, over 100 units of suspected ecstasy, scales, baggies, and capped vials. As previously stated, Detectives also located a fully loaded GLOCK firearm from the residence that was hidden within an upstairs bathroom. The firearm was located with a clear plastic baggie containing additional ammunition, along with a large bag of marijuana.

As a result of the investigation, the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office has approved firearm and narcotic related charges against Thurman Fortune.
