Police Urge Drivers to Celebrate Responsibly
Upland Borough, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), The Upland Borough Police Department and The Southern Delaware County Task Force will conduct impaired driving enforcement operations as part of Operation Safe Super Bowl LVI which runs from February 10, 2022 through February 14, 2022.
The National Football League’s Super Bowl LVI is on Sunday, February 13, 2022, and it’s one of America’s favorite annual celebrations. Whether you are hosting a party, attending a gathering, or heading to a restaurant or bar, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is teaming up with The Upland Borough Police Department to remind football fans everywhere that Fans Don’t Let Fans Drive Drunk.
The Southern Delaware County Task Force is comprised of the following police departments:
Chester City, Upland, Bethel Township, Glenolden Borough, Chester Township, Aston Township, Ridley Township, Collingdale Borough, Eddystone Borough, Sharon Hill Borough and Upper Providence Township.
The task force is committed to reducing the number of impaired driving crashes, injuries, and fatalities in Delaware County.
The operations are funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s statewide distribution of federal funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
