The East Lansdowne Police Department is excited to deploy the new Axon Body4 cameras in public service to our community. These devices provide two-way translation of over 50 foreign languages to and from English.
Officers can respond faster and bridge language barriers with quicker mutual understanding when seconds count. The intuitive push-to-talk functionality and audio playback through the Axon Body 4 Camera allows officers to keep their eyes up and focused on the situation. All translations are captured in body-worn video and transcripts are automatically created for full transparency.
"With this technology, our agency takes a major step forward by removing an all too common barrier to public service. These devices will greatly increase our ability to protect and serve our residents and visitors while also enhancing transparency and accountability by bringing agency to people whose voices were previously unheard and often misunderstood." Chief of Police James Cadden
