The Sharon Hill Borough Police Department's Investigative Division has announced the apprehension of two individuals, 19-year-old Menai Princ Moody from Upper Darby, PA, and 19-year-old Mickal James Balkcom from Philadelphia, PA.
On March 18, 2025, the Sharon Hill Police Department responded to a residential theft report involving a stolen firearm. Following an investigation, Moody and Balkcom were identified as the perpetrators who coordinated the theft and subsequently sold or traded the firearm on the streets. Search warrants were executed at their residences in Upper Darby and Philadelphia on April 17, 2025. The operation resulted in the recovery of a stolen firearm and narcotics at the Upper Darby residence, as well as a handgun with obliterated serial numbers at the Philadelphia residence.
Charges were filed on April 17, 2025, for the aforementioned violations. Additional charges were later approved for the initial theft of the firearm that occurred in Sharon Hill.
The Sharon Hill Police Department were assisted by Delaware County District Attorney's Office Narcotics Task Force and the Pennsylvania State Police. Chief of Police Richard Herron Jr. acknowledges the successful collaboration between all involved agencies
