Shot Fired During Robbery at Luke Oil

The Ridley Township Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at 0348 hours, at the Lukoil gas station which is located at 1901 W. MacDade Blvd in Woodlyn.  A white work van with, “TILE Custom Work, Tile Granite Countertops” decal on the side parked in front of the business.  A male exited the vehicle dressed in a yellow rain coat, black pants, black boots, yellow work gloves, as well as a mask while wearing a blue baseball cap with, “Avalon Flooring” printed on it.  The male is holding a 40 caliber hand gun and catches the employee off guard.  The yet to be identified male then forces the employee inside behind the counter.  At which point, the employee hands the robber cash from the register.  A struggle ensues and the offender fires a round at the employee’s leg.  Luckily, the bullet missed the leg and left a hole in the employee’s pants.  The perpetrator then fled the store and drove the white van eastbound on MacDade Blvd.  The entire incident was captured on surveillance videos. Anyone who can assist in identifying the individual or vehicle is asked to contact Ridley Township Detectives at (610)532-4002 or email mmckinney@ridleytwp.org.
