On Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 11:53 PM, The Ridley Township Police Department received a call in reference to a stolen cell phone at the WAWA (1920 W. MacDade Blvd – Woodlyn). Upon arrival, an officer met with the owner of a white iPhone 11 who advised that he unintentionally left his phone on the counter. Once he left the store, he noticed he forgot his cell phone and immediately returned. Unfortunately, the cell phone was nowhere to be found.
Upon reviewing the surveillance footage, the owner of the phone set the phone down while completing his transaction. Once the transaction was complete, he left his phone behind. A black male (wearing black/white high top sneakers, black track pants with a stripe down the side, a light hooded sweatshirt with a denim jacket) is then observed approaching the counter. He then picked the phone up & instead of being a good samaritan – he pocketed the phone and left the store with the phone in his possession.
If anyone knows the identity of the black male please contact Ridley Township Detectives (610)532-4002 or simply leave a tip on CRIMEWATCH.
