On Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at 7:55 AM, Officer Nolan Cummings was on routine patrol when several pedestrians advised that there was an overturned vehicle in the 400 block of 2nd Ave in the Folsom Section of the Township. Upon arrival, Officer Cummings observed a Ford overturned in the front lawn of a residence in the 400 block of 2nd Ave. Once he approached the vehicle, Casey Moore was sitting next to the passenger side door.
Moore advised that she was uninjured but denied being the driver of the vehicle. Initially, she claimed that the driver had fled the scene on foot. A witness stated that there was not anyone in the vehicle other then Moore. Eventually, Moore admitted to being the driver and had inadvertently hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and caused the accident. While speaking with Moore, she exhibited blood shot glassy eyes, dilated pupils, slurred speech and had an unsteady gait. Moore admitted to smoking marijuana and refused a chemical blood test.
In plain view, officers observed a pink jewelry box with drug paraphernalia protruding out of it. Upon further investigation, the pink jewelry box contained a superfluous number of contraband/paraphernalia (Refer to attached photos). The suspected narcotics were confiscated and will be submitted to the Pennsylvania State Police Crime Laboratory for forensic analysis.
Furthermore, Moore was found to have a suspended license (DUI Related) as well as an active bench warrant out of The County of Delaware. Consequently, Moore was arrested and charged accordingly.
