On Monday, August 26, 2019, at 10:06 PM, The Ridley Township Police Department received a call in reference to a robbery that just occurred at the Dollar Tree. The Dollar Tree is located at 1245 W. MacDade Blvd, in the Woodlyn section of the Township. Fairview @ Macdade – behind Dunkin Donuts. Upon arrival, the manager advised that a black male had pointed a gun in his face and stated, “don’t do anything stupid!” The robber then escorted him to the front of the business where he demanded cash from the registers.
The robber then reiterated, “you know what’s going to happen if you act stupid!” and demanded the night time deposits. Police were able to view surveillance footage of the incident. The robber matched the description of a black male who perpetrated a robbery in Aston Township over the weekend. In fact, he was wearing the same exact clothing. Perhaps it was his robbery uniform.
Upon investigation, the robber was identified to be Mark P. Middleton. Upon further investigation, in conjunction with Aston Police as well as several other law enforcement entities, Middleton was apprehended at his residence. Middleton is currently being held at George W. Hill prison.
