On Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at approximately 10:56 PM, Sergeant Daniel J. Smith observed a Black BMW operate with a PA registration plate that was registered to a Toyota. The Sergeant attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the BMW failed to yield for the emergency lights & sirens. The BMW initiated a traffic pursuit and fled through several back streets of Secane and Holmes.
During the pursuit, the BMW failed to stop for numerous posted stop signs and greatly exceeded the posted 25 mph speed limit. The vehicle finally came to a stop in the 500 block of Amosland Rd. JOSHUA BARKER was then ordered out of the vehicle. In plain view, a plastic sandwich baggie which contained suspected marijuana was observed.
Upon further investigation, an estimated two pounds of suspected marijuana was seized. Additionally, one hundred and ten THC oil vape cartridges, a digital scale, as well as a plethora of various drug paraphernalia (refer to photos).
Consequently, BARKER was arrested and charged accordingly. All suspected controlled substances were sent to the Pennsylvania State Police Crime Lab for analysis.
