Examination for Police Officer
EXAMINATION FOR POLICE OFFICER
ELIGIBILITY LIST – MARPLE TOWNSHIP
Notice is hereby given that Marple Township will be conducting examinations for the position of police officer in order to create a candidate eligibility list.
Duties: Perform as a police officer for Marple Township. Age: Must be at least 18 years of age at application. As per the rules and regulations of the Marple Township Civil Service Commission, and as approved by Township Ordinance, the minimum requirements for application to the position of police officer in the Marple Township Police Department are hereby established to be any of the following:
- Section 304.4.1: Evidence of successful completion of the Act 120 curriculum as administered by the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission, to include the passing of the certification test;
- Section 304.4.2: In addition to the above, a degree from an accredited university is preferred.
Other requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must pass the following examination phases: (a) Physical agility test. (b) Written examination. (c) Oral examination. (d) Background investigation. (e) Physical examination. (f) Psychological examination.
Applications are available at the Marple Township Municipal Building, 227 South Sproul Road, Broomall, PA 19008 or online at http://employment.marplepolice.com. EOE. Applications must be returned in person to the Municipal Building at the above address. There is a $40.00 processing fee, in the form of check or money order, required at the time application is returned. Closing date for applications is Monday, March 16, 2020 at 12 PM. The examination will be administered on Saturday, March 21, 2020.
