Department Incident Response

The current concern regarding the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an unprecedented health event impacting our community. This event has created the need for Emergency Services Personnel to take several precautions while still maintaining our usual level of service. The police department intends to continue to provide that level of service with some minor modifications.

Residents who call to make a Non-Emergency police report or wish to speak with an officer may receive a call back requesting them to step out of their home or business to meet with the officer upon their arrival. Officers will attempt to maintain the recommended safe personal distance to help minimize exposure to both you and the officer.

Residents may receive a return phone call from an officer in response to calls for service received from the 911 center, depending on the nature of the incident. Officers may provide information or give answers or advice and make a report without responding to your location, depending on the circumstances. However, officers will not hesitate to respond and take immediate action if necessary.

This pandemic is an evolving situation, and we will make every effort to keep you informed of any further procedural changes. We sincerely appreciate everyone's patience as we navigate this unprecedented, ever-changing situation together.
