On February 19, 2021 at approximately 17:03 hours, Officer Ditmer responded to 400 S. State Road at the Walmart store, for a theft in progress. Additional reports identified a black male wearing a blue jacket, concealing items inside a backpack. On arrival, Officer Ditmer made contact with Loss Prevention who directed her to a male, fitting the description, as he was exiting the store. Officer Ditmer made contact with the male, who initially provided a false name, but was later identified as Diallo Lee. Lee was subsequently placed under arrest for removing $278.00 worth of merchandise, from the Walmart, without rendering payment.
Lee was charged with violation of Title 18, Section 3929, Subsection a1, graded as Felony, due to multiple prior retail theft convictions.
