In March of 2022, an employee from Mardinley Enterprisees, LLC contacted Marple Police about a check the business received as payment for almost $15,000 worth or services, that would not clear. Detective Lazzari followed up on the report and discovered the check was fraudulent and identified the person who passed the check as Orlando Cuevas. Detective Lazzari made contact with Cuevas numerous times and during each Cuevas had a different reason for why the check would not clear and why he would not make a new payment.
An arrest warrant was requested on April 24, 2022, for Forgery, Theft, Bad Checks, Access Device Fraud, and related charges.
