On February 25, 2021 at approximately 18:20 hours, Officer Gallagher was dispatched to 400 S. State Road, at the Walmart Store, for a theft discovered, reported to be by an employee. On arrival, Officer Gallagher spoke with Loss Prevention who reported findings of an internal investigation Loss Prevention conducted, during which employee Jordan Butler was identified as the suspect who removed approximately $1,700 cash from the registers, while working as a Walmart employee. Butler was placed under arrest and charged with violations of Title 18, Section 3921 (Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Title 18, Section 3925 (Receiving Stolen Property).
Additional Investigation by Walmart Loss Prevention discovered an additional $1,900 worth of cash, stolen by Butler.
