Approximately 2.5 pounds of marijuana and a stolen Glock 43x firearm was recovered from Maurice L. BARTON, after Officer Joseph Varacalli conducted a traffic stop on February 21, 2023, shortly after midnight. BARTON was operating a 2019 Silver Nissan Sentra when he was stopped for motor vehicle violations. Upon approaching the vehicle, Officer Varacalli observed the grip portion of a black handgun on the rear floorboards partially under the front passenger seat. BARTON was subsequently removed from the vehicle and the firearm and marijuana were recovered thereafter.
