On August 16, 2022 at approximately 10:30pm, a Darby Township police officer assigned to the Patrol Division was monitoring traffic in the area of Oak Lane and MacDade Boulevard. While doing so, the officer observed a vehicle traveling westbound on MacDade Boulevard with a fraudulent registration placard displayed. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle due to the traffic violations observed. Upon conducting the stop, the officer made contact with the operator of the vehicle, who was identified as Faheem Wynn, and an adult female passenger. After further investigation and execution of a search warrant on the vehicle, officers recovered a fully loaded Ruger 5.7 X 28 firearm, a quantity of suspected heroin, marijuana, and prescription pills in addition to packaging as well as US currency. WYNN, who was later found to be on parole and a person not to possess a firearm in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, was charged accordingly and arraigned on those charges. Bail was set at 10% of $250,000 in addition to Pennsylvania State Parole issuing a detainer. Wynn was transferred to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility where he will remain as he awaits his preliminary hearing.
