Pedestrian Stop Leads to a Firearm Arrest



On November 29th, 2022 at approximately 10:18am, Darby Township police officers observed a wanted subject, identified as Cahlil Irvin, walking in the 900 block of Burnside Road. Officers were aware that Irvin had an active warrant for aggravated assault and conducted a pedestrian stop of Irvin. Upon taking him into custody officers recovered a loaded silver Smith & Wesson 44 magnum revolver from his person. Through investigation officers discovered that Irvin did not possess a license to carry a concealed weapon and that he had a prior conviction which made him ineligible to possess a firearm within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Cahlil Irvin was arraigned by the Honorable District Judge Steven Sandone and his bail was set to 10% of $50,000.00 for the firearms offense and 10% of $100,000.00 for the aggravated assault warrant. Irvin failed to post bail at this time and is being held at George W. Hill Correctional Facility until his preliminary hearing.
